“JK’s Remarkable Last Three Years 75 Years Insights from LG Sinha”

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha asserted on Monday that the region has undergone a more positive transformation in the past three years than it had in the previous 75 years.

Addressing the launch of the inaugural edition of the JAKFAS journal at the Convention Centre in Srinagar, Sinha stated that corruption had been uprooted to empower the common people in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The system that previously operated on the basis of corruption has been dismantled. Now, the common man feels empowered due to transparency in the system. Those who had plundered Jammu and Kashmir have been held accountable. Even J&K Bank, which is now making history, had suffered during previous administrations,” he said.

The LG also mentioned that elections in Jammu and Kashmir would take place at an appropriate time. “The Union Home Minister, on the floor of the Parliament, has stated that elections will be held in J&K, and this will be decided by the Election Commission of India. We are confident that 80 percent of the people will vote in favor of the existing system,” he added.

“Some individuals have issues with the current system in Jammu and Kashmir. Those who engaged in corrupt practices will not be spared, and everything will be conducted within the bounds of the law as long as PM Modi is in charge,” Sinha emphasised.
