SRINAGAR: National Conference Vice-President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah while reacting to a government decision to remove four government employees, including a police officer and a senior physician, from their positions on Wednesday said that the matter of terminating government employees will be revisited once regime changes in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I want to say whether allegations against the terminated employees are true or untrue, they should have been given due space to prove their innocence. It is unfortunate but let the regimes change in J&K this matter will be revisited,” Omar Abdullah said while speaking on the sidelines of a function in the Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

He added that it is regrettable that employees are being terminated day in and day out through mere paper orders, and added instead of providing employment to people the government is resorting to dismissal of employees from services. “Where are those 32000 jobs that government claimed to have provided to the youth of JK. What we saw scams are being unearthed, and lists being canceled.”

“It is our right to raise voices against the wrongdoings of government and we will continue it,” he added. (KNS)
